The Centre for Transport Research (TRANSYT) is a multidisciplinary group settle at the Civil Engineering Faculty.
It integrates also researchers from the Environment Engineering Faculty, and receives support from the Regional and National Transport Ministries.
Their main current research areas are the following:

- Local and Regional sustainable transport strategies.
- Information technologies applied to transport and environment.

TRANSYT current staff is: 5 Professors, 8 Readers, 3 Lecturers and 6 other part-time academics. It has also 8
researchers and 20 PhD students.
